Job Summary: A construction helper supports the team in preparing construction sites, transporting materials, cleaning and organizing the work area, and assisting with demolition and equipment handling—requiring good physical stamina and teamwork. Key Highlights: 1. Essential support in preparing and organizing the construction site 2. Handling of materials and equipment, including scaffolding 3. Active collaboration with masons, carpenters, and electricians Main Responsibilities: * **Preparation:** Assist in mixing mortar and concrete, preparing construction sites, and preparing soil. * **Material Transport:** Load, unload, and transport blocks, cement, sand, bricks, and other tools. * **Direct Assistance:** Provide tools and materials to masons, carpenters, or electricians upon request. * **Cleaning and Organization:** Keep the worksite clean and organized by removing debris and waste. * **Demolition and Maintenance:** Assist in demolition tasks such as removing cladding, flooring, and masonry. * **Equipment Handling:** Operate simple equipment and assist in assembling and disassembling scaffolding. Skills and Requirements: * **Physical Stamina:** The role demands good physical fitness and endurance to perform heavy tasks. * **Physical Ability:** Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks, such as carrying heavy materials. * **Teamwork:** Work cohesively with the team, understanding and executing instructions from masons. * **Knowledge:** While less formal technical training is required compared to a mason, learning through experience is essential for career progression.
