Ensure raw materials, molten metal, molds, and finished parts meet technical specifications and safety standards, aiming to reduce scrap and improve production efficiency. * **Main Responsibilities:** Metallurgy and Melting Control, Laboratory Management, Quality Assurance (Standards), Non-Conformance Management, Team Leadership. **Technical Requirements and Experience:** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Production Engineering, or Technical Degree in Metallurgy with solid experience. * **Specific Knowledge (Preferred):** Casting processes (Cold Box, Green Sand, or Shell Molding); Nodularization treatment (magnesium) and inoculation; Reading and interpretation of technical drawings and tolerances (GD&T); Quality tools (FMEA, Ishikawa, PDCA, SPC); Non-Destructive Testing (Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic). **Behavioral Competencies:** * **Analytical Profile:** Ability to interpret laboratory data and translate it into process improvements. * **Resilience and Firmness:** Ability to halt production if quality standards are not met. * **Participative Leadership:** Proactivity in working on the shop floor alongside operators. **Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * **Internal Scrap Rate:** Percentage of rejected parts relative to total production. * **Cost of Poor Quality:** Financial impact of rework and returns. * **Effectiveness of Corrective Actions:** Reduction in recurrence of specific defects. * **Calibration Plan Compliance:** Guarantee that 100% of equipment is calibrated.
