Job Summary: This assistant will support the galvanization process, from part preparation—including pickling and cleaning—to immersion in heated zinc and final quality control. Key Highlights: 1. Assistance in preparation and galvanization of metal structures 2. Removal of impurities and visual quality control of parts 3. Tank cleaning and handling of materials in process § Assist in bundling metal structures or individual parts and immersing them into an acid bath for pickling to remove rust, paint, and other impurities, thereby preparing the material for galvanization; monitor required acid bath duration; remove and rinse parts; § Assist in attaching metal parts to support clamps for immersion into the heated zinc bath to carry out the galvanization process; § Remove ash and other floating impurities from the zinc baths using appropriate equipment to prevent damage to galvanizing materials and ensure finished product quality; § Remove bundled parts or individual items from the heated zinc bath after the required dwell time for proper zinc adhesion, taking care to avoid splashes from hot material; § Monitor the visual certification process of removed parts, inspecting for possible defects (e.g., poor zinc adhesion, cracks, blisters, and other imperfections) to guarantee product quality; § Clean the zinc bath prior to initiating galvanization of parts.
