If you are someone seeking employment and eager to offer your knowledge and demonstrate your skills, we would like to meet you. **About the position:** The Veterinary Assistant must assist the Veterinarian in clinical care tasks, diagnosis, emergencies, and surgical interventions. **Compensation and Benefits** * Minimum salary of R$ 1,518.00 * Hazardous duty allowance of 10% (R$ 151.80) * Benefit card/expense allowance of R$ 350.00 * Biweekly salary advance **Main area of responsibility:** * Clinical assistance **Job characteristics:** * The work schedule consists of shifts, with 12 hours worked followed by 36 hours off. * Completion of high school is required. * Basic computer skills are required. * Having completed a veterinary assistant course is recommended. **Key Function Responsibilities (KFRs):** 1. Assist the Veterinarian in clinical care, diagnosis, emergency procedures, and surgical interventions; 2. Prepare necessary materials for various diagnostic and clinical care procedures; 3. Maintain operational readiness of the physical spaces under their responsibility or any other assigned area (laboratory, surgical room, imaging examination room, consultation room, and hospitalization area); 4. Prepare and restrain animals during consultations, treatments, diagnostic procedures, and hospitalization, providing general and specific care according to routine protocols (ensuring animal comfort and well-being, preparing and administering medications via various routes, assisting the veterinarian in procedures, providing hygiene and nutritional care, preparing and performing bathing and grooming, accompanying and assisting the veterinarian in imaging exams—ultrasound, X-ray, CT scans, etc., establishing venous access in patients, cleaning and autoclaving surgical and non-surgical instruments, maintaining cleanliness in hospitalization areas, workbenches, clinical beds, and patient areas, feeding hospitalized patients, preparing and administering medication to patients under the supervision of the on-duty veterinarian); 5. Maintain technical records of provided care; 6. Provide patient care; 7. Manage control of materials and medications, assisting in inventory management; 8. Organize the workplace by cleaning workbenches and ensuring continuity between shifts; 9. Perform duties related to the field of activity using equipment and computer programs; 10. Work according to the institution's established technical standards regarding routine, safety, quality, productivity, hygiene, and environmental preservation; 11. Perform other tasks compatible with the requirements of the role. 12. Safeguard and take responsibility for equipment and instruments used in the hospital’s clinical and surgical routines.
