RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients according to medical and nursing prescriptions. Monitor vital signs (HR, RR, BP, SpO₂, temperature) and document in the patient record. Assist with setup and monitoring of equipment (mechanical ventilators, infusion pumps, multiparametric monitors). Administer medications according to prescriptions, observing dilution, route, and infusion time. Perform hygiene care, comfort measures, and repositioning. Perform airway suctioning as needed, following protocol. Assist with invasive procedures (intubation, punctures, wound dressings, laboratory specimen collection). Maintain strict fluid balance documentation. Observe and immediately report any clinical changes in the patient's condition. Prepare and organize beds and materials for procedures. Ensure correct patient identification and medication administration safety. Comply with biosafety standards, infection control measures, and institutional protocols. Support the multidisciplinary team during complications and emergencies. Guide and support family members according to unit guidelines. Document all interventions in the electronic or physical patient record. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Required qualifications: Technical Nursing Course; Active registration with the Regional Nursing Council (COREN). Desirable qualifications: Experience in ICU/Emergency departments is a plus.
