Free workshop at Casa Hario: master V60, Mugem, and Syphon on 01/20/2026, with Sílvia Magalhães. Sessions at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Join the Mastering Your Filter Coffee workshop, a hands-on, guided experience for those seeking to advance their specialty coffee brewing skills and understand—cup by cup—the impact of variables in filter brewing methods. The workshop will be led by Sílvia Magalhães at Casa Hario, with two sessions on January 20, 2026. The session focuses on introducing and practicing, comparatively, three iconic extraction methods: V60, Mugem, and Syphon. The key distinction of this workshop lies in experiential learning: you’ll adjust one variable and observe how it changes the final result—and how to fine-tune it to achieve your desired beverage profile. During the workshop, all participants will prepare all three methods (V60, Mugem, and Syphon), gaining insight into essential fundamentals of filter coffee and specialty coffee, including: • Coffee-to-water ratio • Grind size • Water temperature • Extraction time • Agitation and pouring flow • How each method highlights acidity, sweetness, body, and aroma Event details Event: Mastering Your Filter Coffee workshop Instructor: Sílvia Magalhães Date: January 20, 2026 Venue: Casa Hario Fee: Free Times: 10 a.m. (1st session) and 7 p.m. (2nd session) Duration: 2 hours per session Capacity: 9 students per session If you want to learn how to adjust variables to improve your coffee, understand real differences among V60 vs. Mugem vs. Syphon, and gain confidence to consistently reproduce excellent results at home (or at work), this workshop is for you.
