Job Summary: A mason's helper responsible for material preparation, transportation, workplace cleaning, assistance in demolition tasks, and operation of simple equipment, requiring physical stamina and teamwork. Key Highlights: 1. Assist in mortar and concrete preparation and material transportation. 2. Keep the workplace clean and organized and assist in demolition tasks. 3. Operate simple equipment and collaborate with the team on physical tasks. Main Responsibilities * **Preparation:** Assist in mortar and concrete preparation, construction site setup, and soil preparation. * **Material Transportation:** Load, unload, and transport blocks, cement, sand, bricks, and other tools. * **Direct Assistance:** Provide tools and materials to masons, carpenters, or electricians upon request. * **Cleaning and Organization:** Maintain a clean and organized workplace by removing debris and waste. * **Demolition and Maintenance:** Assist in demolition tasks such as removing claddings, flooring, and masonry. * **Equipment Handling:** Operate simple equipment and assist in scaffolding assembly and disassembly. Skills and Requirements * **Physical Stamina:** The role requires good physical fitness and endurance to handle heavy tasks. * **Physical Ability:** Capability to perform intensive physical tasks, such as carrying heavy materials. * **Teamwork:** Work in coordination with the team, understanding and executing the mason's instructions. * **Knowledge:** Although formal technical training is less extensive than that required for masons, learning through experience is essential for career progression.
