In this role, you will: Itaú Unibanco’s Applied Analytics Directorate seeks a Data Scientist professional to apply Machine Learning and GenAI techniques to understand and solve complex business problems in high-impact consortium community use cases. For the Data Scientist position, candidates should ideally: Develop Machine Learning models Build Generative AI agents Design optimization solutions Monitor model performance Conduct analyses to support decision-making Deploy Machine Learning models **Hybrid role based in São Paulo** Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related fields. *A Master’s or PhD degree is considered an advantage.* Knowledge or experience in statistical modeling and Machine Learning techniques, including handling large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and data processing and analysis tools. Familiarity with emerging technologies such as Deep Learning and GenAI, with interest in exploring innovative solutions. Motivation to work in a multidisciplinary team developing applied solutions across different stages of the customer lifecycle. Knowledge of classification models applied to credit granting. Experience with generative AI tools and frameworks, such as LangChain and LangGraph.
