We are seeking an experienced professional in high-end platform environments (Mainframe) to perform maintenance, support, and enhancement of critical systems. The ideal candidate has solid expertise in IBM COBOL and DB2, with specific experience using IBM Visual Age for development and code generation. The professional will receive training on modern tools and processes for mainframe system assessment and documentation using AI. **The professional must stay up-to-date with current technologies: AI, etc.** **Key Responsibilities:** \- Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on COBOL and Visual Age programs. \- Develop and optimize online routines using CICS. \- Create and maintain batch processing Jobs using JCL (Job Control Language). \- Develop and maintain COBOL Stored Procedures for complex business rules. \- Manipulate and optimize queries in IBM DB2 z/OS database. \- Conduct root cause analysis (troubleshooting) of production incidents. \- Prepare technical and functional documentation for mainframe systems. **Mandatory Requirements (Hard Skills):** \- Language: Proficiency in IBM COBOL (Enterprise COBOL). \- IDE/Tool: Proven experience with IBM Visual Age (Generator or Pacbase, depending on the environment). \- Transactional: Solid knowledge of CICS (BMS maps, CICS commands, online transactions). \- Database: Experience with IBM DB2 z/OS (SQL, cursors, performance tuning). \- Batch: Proficiency in JCL and IBM utilities (SORT, IDCAMS, IEBGENER). \- Logic: Experience creating and invoking COBOL Procedures (subprograms/modularized routines). **Preferred Qualifications:** \- Knowledge of version control tools (Changeman, Endeavor, or Git). \- Experience with debugging tools (Xpediter or Intertest). \- Familiarity with integration between Mainframe and Lower Platforms (MQ Series, CICS Web Services). \- Technical English for reading manuals and logs. **Behavioral Profile:** \- Analytical ability and attention to detail. \- Autonomy to investigate business rules within legacy code. \- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with business and infrastructure teams. \- Interest in upskilling to use AI tools for analysis and documentation. **Skills:** **Technical Skills:** \- Requirements Analysis \- Functional Documentation (PDD, Requirements Specification) \- Practical application of AI tools \- Languages: COBOL, CICS, CSP, Visual Age, JCL, SQL, QMF, MICRO FOCUS **Methodologies:** \- Business and process analysis \- Proposal development **Business Domains:** \- Insurance \- Banking Job Type: Full-time, Permanent CLT Compensation: R$12.000,00 – R$16.000,00 per month
