Specialized Driving and Operation** * **Transport of Specialized Cargo:** Operate semi-trailers transporting indivisible loads (large-dimension components, heavy machinery, or metal structures) requiring a Special Transit Permit (AET). * **Oversize Load Management:** Monitor load width, height, and length to ensure safe passage under overpasses, overhead power lines, and through narrow road sections. * **Coordination with Escort Vehicles:** Coordinate movement jointly with authorized escort vehicles (bait cars), strictly adhering to safety guidelines and traffic signage. **2. Equipment Operation and Lifting Support** * **Interface with Cranes:** Strategically position the transport unit for lifting operations, considering Unimetais’ cranes’ operational radius. * **Technical Rigging Assistance:** Perform technical lashing of heavy cargo using high-strength chains and tensioners, calculating anchoring points to prevent cargo shifting. * **Operation of Flatbed and Extendable Trailers:** Handle flatbed trailers (with removable necks) or extendable trailers, performing necessary mechanical adjustments to accommodate cargo. **3. Documentation and Regulatory Compliance** * **AET Control:** Verify and carry Special Transit Permits (AET), ensuring the actual route complies with authorizations issued by competent authorities (DNIT/DER). * **Driving Hours Recordkeeping:** Strictly monitor driving and rest times in accordance with the Brazilian Truck Drivers’ Law, especially on long-haul routes. **4.
