




Job Summary: Work in the engine room of a tugboat, performing preventive and corrective inspections and maintenance on vessel equipment while seeking to understand onboard systems. Description: Requirements to apply: * Prior experience as Chief Engineer aboard medium- or large-sized vessels. * Education: Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Electromechanics, Automation, etc. * Valid Certificate of Competency (CIR) and certifications (Training, TBS/1, EBCP). * NR 35 \- Working at Heights Desirable: * Officers from the Merchant Navy; completed undergraduate degree in exact sciences. Day-to-day responsibilities in this position: * Work in the tugboat's engine room, performing inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance on all vessel equipment per maintenance team instructions. * Pursue knowledge of operation and maintenance of all onboard systems and components through reading and understanding manuals, plans, and procedures. * Identify, organize, preserve, and manage all tools, spare parts, and onboard inventory, maintaining\-them in serviceable condition. * Other duties inherent to this position. 2512050202181904915
