We are seeking a **Panel Operator II – Causticizing and Lime Kiln** to join the **Utilities Recovery Coordination** team. This person will be responsible for monitoring and controlling operational activities in the Causticizing, Lime Kiln, Water Treatment Plant (ETA), and Wastewater Treatment Plant (ETE) areas via the SDCD control panel, ensuring process operation and maintenance at minimum cost and time while meeting required quality standards, in compliance with regulations, safety standards, internal procedures, and environmental preservation—all aligned with Veracel’s purpose and Code of Ethics. **Position: Panel Operator II – Causticizing and Lime Kiln** **Area of Operation: Utilities Recovery Coordination** **Responsibilities and Duties** **Main Responsibilities:** * Control and monitor equipment and process variables in the assigned area through control panel operation; * Establish and maintain operational quality of area processes by defining operational parameters; * Guide area operators by providing them with process-related information; * Direct proper disposal of solid waste and effluents in case of disturbances; * Restore area operations following disturbances, blackouts, maintenance shutdowns, and general shutdowns—ensuring equipment integrity, personnel safety, and environmental protection. * Define priorities for the area of operation, supporting the shift coordinator in allocating resources according to area priorities. * Provide technical support for closing production orders in the assigned area. * Register requests (e.g., meals and transportation) in designated tools per area management guidance. * Report deviations, non-compliance, or instabilities to the Technical Assistant / Coordinator whenever standard technical process control cannot be maintained. * Fully conduct the PG facilitator process when requested. * Conduct the development and updating of operational procedures when requested. **Main Challenges:** * Anticipate operational problems and deviations using company-provided tools (PIMS, INDUSTRIALL, and SDCD); * Communicate with and understand internal customers to make optimal decisions during your shift. * Guide, require, and document situations to train and qualify area operators. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We Expect From You:** * Technical education in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, or Environmental Science. * Minimum six months of tenure with the current employer and in the current position; * Intermediate proficiency in Excel; **Additional Information** **Benefits:** * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Christmas basket * Payroll-deductible loans * Workplace gymnastics * Private pension plan * Variable compensation program * On-site restaurant * Life insurance * Company-provided transportation * Meal allowance * Wellhub (formerly Gympass) **Selection Process Steps (all steps are eliminatory):** * Evaluation of candidate profile registered on the Gupy platform; * Behavioral profile assessment; * HR interview; * Technical interview with the hiring manager; We are Veracel Celulose.
