Description
**Job Mission**
Develop, analyze, and perform accounting, financial, and budgetary system configuration; verify information received from departments; implement accounting entry processes, including debit and credit account assignments; ensure accuracy of contingency and loss provision balances; responsible for periodic reconciliation of accounting balances across the areas of insurance, benefits, investment funds, participant transactions, finance, and real estate.
May represent management in the leader’s absence, make operational-level decisions, and mentor interns and other less senior professionals.
**Responsibilities:**
* Design and ensure correct accounting, financial, and budgetary system configuration, and verify information received from departments.
* Implement processes related to accounting entries, including debit and credit account assignments, as well as analytical or synthetic entries.
* Verify and ensure accuracy of contingency and loss provision balances.
* Guide and verify periodic reconciliation of accounting balances for processes in the areas of insurance, benefits, investment funds, participant transactions, finance, and real estate.
* Exercise technical leadership of the team.
* Be responsible for reconciliation and analysis of movements in accounting accounts.
* Organize and verify reconciliation, offsetting, and analysis of accounting accounts related to payroll.
* Verify bank and fixed asset reconciliation and reconciliation.
* Collaborate with other company departments to review necessary accounting entries for month-end closing, such as additions, deductions, positive and negative variances, tax allocations, depreciation, and others.
* Verify tax calculation.
* Develop the Financial and Accounting Chart of Accounts, and train users on financial and accounting systems.
* Verify classification of accounting/economic-financial documents according to the Financial, Accounting, and Budgetary Chart of Accounts.
* Prepare and ensure accuracy of trial balances, verifying and analyzing corresponding documentation and required signatures.
* Calculate and ensure accuracy of the Defined Contribution plan unit pricing process.
* Ensure that ancillary obligations are submitted to the competent authority within established deadlines.
* Prepare and ensure accuracy of annual Financial Statements and subsequent submission to PREVIC (National Supplementary Pension Superintendence).
* Lead and ensure accuracy of reports, dashboards, presentations, and account controls as requested by the immediate supervisor.
* Organize, archive, and update documents (reports, controls, and others) related to the area of responsibility.
* Perform other activities related to the position.
**Education:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences.
**Experience:**
* Five (5) years in this field or in a similar role.
**Technical Competencies:**
* Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office); advanced knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Google Data Studio), or ERP knowledge and process automation.
* Process Efficiency Analysis; Tax and Fiscal Analysis; Accounting Calculation.
