This professional will be responsible for ensuring the **irrigation of our research nursery**, with flexibility to support other essential forestry research and development activities. **Position: Forestry Research Assistant II** **Area of Responsibility: Genetic Improvement Coordination** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Irrigation and Fertigation: Perform irrigation and fertigation activities for research seedlings, including reading water meters, preparing solutions, and applying them via the irrigation system, as instructed. * Irrigation System Maintenance: Conduct maintenance and inspections of irrigation systems, as well as equipment conservation and input control, through regular checks. * Data Recording and Organization: Collect and/or enter data into specific spreadsheets for archiving (on computer or paper), according to required information. * Research Seedling Management: Assist in managing research seedlings, hybrid orchards, or nursery experiments—including bud collection, stem cutting, removal of seedlings from cold storage, thinning, pruning, selection, pollination, grafting, pruning, and irrigation—aligned with the genetic improvement program or management experiments. * Support for Evaluations: Assist in evaluations of experiments, operational quality, control efficiency, and other assessments whenever needed to ensure timely delivery of information and support. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What We Expect From You:** * Completed high school education; * Knowledge of seedling production processes; * Availability to work on a 6x1 shift schedule; * Proactivity; * Self-discipline; * Teamwork; * Interpersonal skills; **Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):** * Experience in nursery seedling irrigation. * Technical vocational training; **Additional Information** **Benefits** * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Christmas bonus * Payroll-deductible loans * Workplace gymnastics * Private pension plan * Variable compensation program * On-site cafeteria * Life insurance * Company-provided transportation * Meal allowance **Selection Process Stages (All stages are eliminatory):** * Candidate profile assessment; * Previous year’s performance evaluation; * HR interview; * Technical interview; We are Veracel Celulose.
