I have several for sale; I used it for a project some time ago and no longer need it. FEATURES ? Studio-grade recording quality ? Condenser microphone ? Supercardioid polar pattern ? 9V battery power ? Integrated shock mount ? Two-stage high-pass filter (Flat / 80Hz) ? Reinforced ABS construction ? Included windshield ? 3.5 mm mini-jack output ? Integrated cold shoe mount (3/8" thread) The RODE VIDEOMIC is a shotgun microphone that can be easily mounted on a video camera thanks to its integrated shock mount, which attaches directly to the camera’s hot shoe. The VIDEOMIC is lightweight, and when mounted on a camera, it remains outside the frame. Its supercardioid polar pattern attenuates sound from the sides. The result is audio similar to that of the camera, even under noisy conditions or at moderate distances. A 3/8" thread at the base of the shock mount allows you to use the VIDEOMIC with any boom pole. By adding a longer stereo male-to-female 1/8" mini-plug cable (e.g., RODE VC1) and a boom pole (e.g., RODE Mini Boom), you can dramatically improve audio quality in your video work. A specialized 1/8" mini-plug to XLR adapter (RODE VXLR) is also available for using the VIDEOMIC with professional cameras. Replaceable rubber O-rings suspend the microphone within the shock mount and protect against noise caused by movement and handling. An attached coiled cable terminates in a 1/8" (3.5 mm) mini-output connector. The VIDEOMIC features a condenser element powered by a standard 9-volt battery (sold separately). The microphone operates for approximately 100 hours on a single battery. This microphone was used in the production of the successful low-budget film "Paranormal Activity." If you were concerned about the audio quality delivered by the VIDEOMIC, you no longer need to worry. BARREL CANCELLATION PICKUP The RODE Video Mic functions as a gradient microphone with true line-level output, featuring a supercardioid pattern at the front and a barrel that cancels lateral audio. The result is maximum source capture in highly noisy environments. INTEGRATED SHOCK MOUNT The VIDEOMIC features a permanently attached shock mount with a camera mounting shoe on the bottom. The shock mount includes replaceable rubber O-rings that protect against noise caused by sudden movements and impacts. HIGH-PASS FILTER SWITCH A high-pass filter switch eliminates ambient noise and low-frequency rumble below 80 Hz. This noise is rendered unintelligible when recording near machinery, wind, etc. INTERNAL POWER The condenser element is powered by a standard 9-volt battery for up to 100 hours (approximately).
