Component Evaluation Identify wood type, age, and manufacturing technique Diagnose damage (cracks, termites, moisture, wear) Determine the appropriate restoration method 2\. Controlled Disassembly Disassemble furniture without causing additional damage Catalog original parts and hardware for faithful reassembly 3\. Structural Repairs Replace compromised wooden sections Reinforce joints (dowels, tenons, gluing) Correct warping 4\. Pest Treatment Combat termite and other insect infestations Apply preservative products 5\.
