### **Job Objectives** * Ensure **consistency** of design and data definition within the subject area. * Ensure **correct application** of global, common, and simplified processes, and that appropriate management controls are in place. * Improve the **efficiency and effectiveness** of processes and design. * Extend the **GEMS** design to cover new business cases. **Note:** Acts as the **interface between business areas and EMIT** (Information Management and Technology Team). ### **2. Tasks Performed** #### **EMIT Work Prioritization & Development** * Prioritize EMIT work. * Respond directly to **business consultancy tickets**. * Develop **business specifications** for changes and collaborate with EMIT to convert business specifications into feasible technical designs. * **Review the technical design** of all BW (Business Warehouse) changes prior to implementation. #### **Testing & Quality Assurance** * Test system changes and enhancements in the acceptance environment before implementation, or organize appropriate business testing. * Lead testing for all ***Support Packs*** and **System Upgrades** (*System Upgrades*). * Maintain appropriate test scripts for BW content. #### **Operational Performance** * Periodically review **data loading** and **system performance** with EMIT. #### **End-User Training** * Provide updated content for use on the **GEMS BW** Intranet site. #### **Report Building and Consulting** * Act as the **BW Liaison/Contact** for project teams as required. * Create **BW reports** as needed. Collaborate with EMIT to update reports developed by EMIT as necessary.
