If you identify with our purpose, shall we together imagine a future and engineer it? **Responsibilities and duties** **Summary description:** We are seeking a Piping and Utilities Engineer to act as a technical specialist in the sizing, analysis, and specification of fluid mechanical systems. You will be responsible for the integrated calculation and evaluation of piping systems, pumps, and components, ensuring energy efficiency, operational reliability, and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements. **Detailed description:** * Perform thermal flexibility analyses of critical piping using specialized software (CAESAR II, AutoPIPE) * Develop applied hydraulics studies to determine system curves * Carry out pressure drop calculations in complex piping systems * Size and select centrifugal and positive displacement pumps for various services (process, utilities, transfer) * Develop complete technical specifications for pumping equipment * Perform NPSH available vs. required calculations and cavitation analysis * Conduct operational performance analysis of pumping systems * Develop energy optimization studies in hydraulic systems * Prepare technical assessments for troubleshooting operating systems * Prepare technical specifications for piping components (valves, heat exchangers, pressure vessels) * Develop technical datasheets for rotating and static equipment * Define material selection criteria based on process conditions. * Develop integrated analyses between piping systems and rotating equipment * Participate in defining pump operating curves and working points * Collaborate in developing control and operation strategies for systems **Requirements and qualifications** **Basic requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering * Active CREA registration * Experience in pumping system sizing * Proven knowledge in performance analysis of rotating equipment * Experience in industrial utility projects (water, steam, compressed air systems) * Proficiency in ASME B31.3, API 610 and HI Standards * Experience with hydraulic analysis software (AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo) * Knowledge in applied fluid mechanics and heat transfer **You stand out if you have:** * Certification in hydraulic analysis software (AFT, Pipe-Flo) * Experience in vibration analysis of pumping systems * Knowledge in energy efficiency of fluid mechanical systems * Experience in commissioning and startup of pumping systems * Knowledge in instrumentation applied to hydraulic systems * Fluency in technical English for international documentation **Additional information** **Job characteristics:** * Employment type: Regular Office (On-site) * Work location: Vitória/ES * Working hours: 08:00 to 17:00h **Benefits included in the position:** * Health insurance * Dental insurance * Life insurance * Transportation * Meal allowance * Gympass partnership Discounts and partnerships with various educational institutions * At Timenow, we believe in the power of ideas – and even more, in the ability to turn them into reality.
