We are currently seeking a **Safety Technician** to join our HSSE team. **What are the main responsibilities of this role?** * Implement and monitor occupational health and safety (OHS) programs in compliance with applicable legislation (e.g., Brazilian Regulatory Standards [NRs], Risk Management Plan [PGR], Occupational Health Program [PCMSO], etc.). * Conduct safety inspections in operational areas, identifying hazards and monitoring the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. * Guide employees on safety regulations, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe behaviors. * Support the development and review of operational procedures, risk assessments, and work permits. * Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and propose actions to prevent recurrence. * Supervise critical activities (e.g., working at heights, confined space entry, hot work, electrical work, cargo handling, etc.), ensuring compliance with safety requirements. * Manage PPE control, distribution, usage, and validity. * Support mandatory training, OHS campaigns, and onboarding of new employees. * Maintain up-to-date OHS records and indicators, supporting internal and external audits. * Collaborate with leadership, HR, and operational departments to strengthen the prevention culture. * Report incidents, emergencies, and log Safety Observations in the system. * Support implementation of the traffic management plan. * Plan and conduct emergency drills. * Ensure the effectiveness of the Safety Induction Program. **What are we looking for?** **Qualifications** * **Education:** Completed technical qualification in Occupational Safety, with active registration with the competent authority. * **Experience:** Occupational Safety Technician experience in operational environments such as industrial facilities, port terminals, infrastructure projects, civil construction, logistics, or general production areas. Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, especially Brazilian Regulatory Standards (NRs). Experience in developing and monitoring Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Safe Work Permits (SWPs), safety inspections, and accident investigations. * **IT Skills:** Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. * **LEAN Mindset:** We seek someone with a strong continuous improvement mindset — naturally curious, committed to solving root causes, and motivated to make things better every day. **Skills and Competencies** * Clear communication and positive influence to guide teams. * Proactivity in hazard identification and accident prevention. * Sense of responsibility and attention to detail. * Ability to make decisions in critical situations. * Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills.
