




Job Summary: An operational-level professional responsible for various specimen collections, sample handling, and operation of laboratory systems and equipment, with a focus on quality and patient safety. We seek professionals who aspire to go beyond technical skills. **Description and Responsibilities:** **Schedule:** 44-hour workweek (Monday to Friday: 7:00–16:00; Saturday: 7:00–11:00\) **Level:** Operational **Employment Type:** Permanent – CLT * Perform venous and capillary blood collection using appropriate techniques, ensuring safety and humanized care; * Perform specialized test collections, including: * Heel prick test; * Toxicology tests; * Cytological examination (Pap smear); * Scraping collection for mycological tests; * Conduct sample triage, identification, labeling, and verification according to acceptability criteria; * Ensure correct tube collection order and proper handling of materials; * Prepare and package samples according to stability and transport requirements; * Support the performance of laboratory tests, as applicable to the unit; * Operate laboratory information systems (LIS) for registration, traceability, and process release. * Equipment Operation: Operate laboratory equipment in accordance with technical protocols and work instructions; * Perform basic functional checks and cleaning of equipment; * Preferred Qualification: Experience operating Ortho 7600, Ortho 5600, Vitek 2, or M50 – Beckton Dickinson equipment **Requirements:*** Completed Technical Course in Clinical Analysis; Active registration with the relevant professional council (where applicable); * Proven experience in: * Venous blood collection (adult, pediatric, geriatric); * Pre-analytical laboratory routines; * Knowledge of biosafety and good laboratory practices. **Preferred Qualifications** ? Experience operating Ortho 7600 and/or Ortho 5600 equipment; ? Experience in private-sector units focused on customer service; ? Experience with: o Pap smear collection; o Heel prick test; o Toxicology tests; o Mycology (scrapings); ? Familiarity with laboratory information systems (BITLAB/INTERLIS); ?
