Who will you be working with? You will join the Engineering team at Wabtec Corporation's Governador Valadares unit. Within our organization, we develop solutions for our customers in the railway maintenance sector, understanding their needs and turning them into unique projects worldwide. Our main function is the conception of products and equipment, transforming ideas developed to meet customer needs into detailed engineering projects that comply with safety standards and excellence parameters applicable to the sectors. In this role, you will understand our challenges and contribute creative and innovative solutions to demonstrate your potential. How will you make a difference? As a mechanical engineer within the Engineering department, you will become familiar with our entire portfolio of solutions and directly contribute to its expansion. You will be on the front line of our technical area and interact directly with other internal departments such as production and supply chain, and more importantly, you will implement interventions to continuously optimize our processes. You will work with people from different areas, backgrounds, and experiences, giving you the opportunity to learn and teach a wide range of topics. What do we want to know about you?* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; * Fluent English; * Proficiency in specialized mechanical design tools and hydraulic and pneumatic diagram development: Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, and Festo Didactic FluidSIM; * Knowledge of mechanical projects, machine elements, and manufacturing processes; * Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and ability to develop projects in these areas; * Mastery of Office suite tools to create document templates and reports; * Previous experience with heavy construction equipment (yellow fleet) and heavy vehicles; * Availability for travel. Desirable:* Technical education in related fields such as Mechanical, Electrotechnical, Electronics, or Electromechanical. * Spanish language proficiency, especially for interaction with international customers and partners. * Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and logic systems, with the ability to integrate with mechanical projects. * Experience with advanced mechanical design and structural analysis tools, such as SolidWorks, Catia, Ansys, and similar tools. What will your day-to-day look like?* Coordination and development of equipment projects focused on railway maintenance, from concept to technical delivery. * Technical supervision of the design team, guiding project development and conducting technical feasibility analyses. * Development of integrated mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for equipment mechanisms, collaborating with teams responsible for electrical, electronic, and logic systems. * Multidisciplinary interaction with internal departments such as production and supply chain, promoting process improvements and technical solutions. * Participation in commercial analyses and opportunity prospecting, contributing technical insights during negotiations with national and international customers.
