Job Summary: The Service Department seeks a technician to ensure the proper operation and maximum performance of wind turbines, maintaining customer loyalty through preventive and corrective maintenance. Key Highlights: 1. Act as a safety agent following Occupational Health and Safety regulations 2. Perform maintenance and monitoring of wind turbines 3. Develop professionally and contribute to improvements The Service Department is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of our customers' wind farms and guaranteeing optimal turbine performance throughout their service life. The role is to ensure turbines operate at maximum capacity, delivering the best possible energy production for our customers. As a key team for sustaining long-term customer loyalty, the service technician applies their skills and training to operate and maintain wind turbines. The technician will follow specific schedules and procedures, including safety protocols, turbine service tasks, and/or installation processes, as well as other detailed verbal or written instructions. **Responsibilities:** * Strictly adhere to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, acting as a safety agent for oneself and colleagues; * Carry out preventive tasks and corrective maintenance; * Perform maintenance on Vestas turbines at customer wind farms across all regions where Vestas turbines are installed; * Monitor WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) performance; * Report turbine conditions and collect data for analysis; * Commitment to and timely delivery of daily tasks; * Prepare reports, including Inspection, Failure, or Component Replacement reports; * Submit Daily Activity Reports from the site; * Inspect and verify tool checklists; * Ensure correct material consumption in Work Orders and execution of activities within planned timeframes; * Establish and maintain professional contact with customers when required; * Knowledge of all tools and "pathways" for data verification, process and procedure checks during work. * Guide Junior technicians; * Serve as a role model for Junior technicians regarding Vestas safety procedures and processes; * Continuously seek learning and professional development opportunities; * Contribute improvement ideas for the work environment and/or actively participate in implementing improvements suggested by other team members. **Qualifications:** * Technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics fields; * Ability to read, interpret, and understand basic-to-advanced technical drawings and schematics; * Ability and willingness to work at heights; * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; * Valid CFT/CREA registration; * Valid Class B driver's license; * Proficiency in using computers and mobile devices for administrative tasks; * Willingness to travel (work at other sites); * Basic English proficiency with reading comprehension; **Competencies:** * Safe Behavior * Results Orientation * Operational Discipline * Commitment to Work * Teamwork * Responsibility, Simplicity, Collaboration, and Passion **APPLICATIONS UNTIL 20/02** **Our commitment to a fair hiring** At Vestas, we evaluate all candidates solely based on their professional experience, education, and relevant skills.
