### **Our Security Engineering Team** We build and maintain an increasingly secure bank. Active participation of the Security Engineering team in every stage of product development is essential! This is the role of a Security Engineer at C6: Applying multidisciplinary expertise to define security requirements and controls, the Security Engineer contributes specialized knowledge so that each product is built following security best practices and with unique risks assessed from inception—ensuring the most effective protections throughout the development of each service and/or product. This Shift Left approach leverages the Security Engineer’s diverse expertise—whether in cyber defense tools and processes, attack methodologies, or secure development frameworks and practices—to identify and address existing risks early in our product development lifecycle. ### **Your responsibilities as a CSixer** * A Security Engineer’s day-to-day work ensures that information security policies and best practices are applied across all products and services offered or procured by C6 Bank; * Additionally, the Security Engineering team leads C6 Bank’s Security Champions program, aimed at disseminating information security concepts and sharing experiences through Sec Talks—a joint initiative with Red Team and Application Security teams; * We also conduct Research & Development initiatives to build secure solutions and dashboards for enterprise-wide use across C6 Bank. ### **Requirements and experience** * Knowledge of information security best practices and standards; * Practical experience in threat modeling (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK); * Ability to interpret system architectures to identify information security risks and propose mitigations; * In-depth knowledge of operating systems, networks, data structures, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI); * Experience implementing security controls in cloud computing solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS); * Experience with security controls for networks, operating systems, web and mobile applications, REST APIs, and databases; * Familiarity with system integration using Identity Providers (SAML, OIDC, SCIM); * Knowledge of data encryption; * Knowledge of event and log correlation tools (SIEM); * Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CFEngine); * Understanding of secure development techniques; * Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Shell, Java, Kotlin) is desirable; * Functional proficiency in English. ### **Our benefits** * Meal voucher; * Food voucher; * Health and dental insurance; * Daycare allowance; * Life insurance; * WellHub | TotalPass; * Conexa | Psicologia Viva — free online therapy; * Carbon Academy; * C6 Carbon card; * Carbon Spa — beauty salon located in our office; * Carbon Care — on-site clinic located in our office; * Nursing room; * Citizen Company — extended maternity and paternity leave; * Bicycle parking; * Changing rooms; * Corporate shuttle; * Social lounge — video games, billiards table, playball, barbecue grill, draft beer dispenser, snack bar, multiple rest areas, hammocks, basketball hoop, and collaborative organic garden. **C6 BANK** ----------- ### **FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE** We serve individuals, micro-entrepreneurs (MEIs), and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across all Brazilian states.
