We are seeking an **Occupational Safety Engineer** to work at a company in the **heavy construction and infrastructure** sector, responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies on construction sites, guaranteeing legal compliance, accident prevention, and team integrity. **Responsibilities and duties** * Develop, implement, and monitor Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, and risk prevention programs on construction sites; * Ensure compliance with Regulatory Standards (NRs), applicable legislation, and internal company procedures; * Conduct periodic field inspections, safety audits, and operational risk assessments; * Develop and monitor Preliminary Risk Analyses (PRAs), work permits, and corrective action plans; * Investigate accidents, incidents, and deviations, proposing preventive and corrective actions; * Coordinate mandatory training, onboarding of new employees, and occupational health and safety (OHS) awareness campaigns; * Collaborate with operational leadership to foster a safety culture at construction sites; * Manage safety performance indicators (KPIs), preparing management reports for executive leadership and clients; * Monitor legal documentation for direct and third-party employees (ASO, PPE records, certifications, training records, etc.); * Support site mobilization processes, external audits, and client contractual requirements; * Collaborate with Production, HR, Occupational Medicine, and Environmental departments; * Ensure safety best practices for critical activities such as working at heights, excavations, lifting operations, heavy machinery operation, explosives handling, energy-related tasks, and confined space entry; * Perform other duties related to the position. **Requirements and qualifications** * Completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; * Postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering; * Active registration with CREA (Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy); * Experience in heavy construction, infrastructure, earthworks, highways, bridges, dams, or similar projects; * Solid knowledge of applicable NRs, especially NR-01, NR-06, NR-10, NR-12, NR-18, NR-33, and NR-35; * Experience managing safety teams and field-based operations; * Proficiency in Excel and developing management indicators; * Willingness to travel and work on construction sites. **Preferred qualifications:** * Experience in large linear projects (highways, railways, transmission lines, sanitation); * Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and integrated management systems; * Experience serving large public and private clients. **Additional information** * **Employment type:** Individual Entrepreneur (PJ) * **Work location:** Highway paving project in Três Lagoas/MS. * **Desirable:** Residency in the region or nearby areas. * **Remuneration:** To be negotiated. **S.A.
