Then you may be the Operations Manager we are seeking for our catering, event, and cafeteria department. The department is relatively new and continuously developing. As Operations Manager, you will have personnel responsibility for 3–5 employees who primarily work during daytime hours.
With us, you will have the opportunity to shape your own role and be part of a varied workday where no two days are alike.
As Operations Manager, you will be a key person in both culinary development and daily operations. You will be responsible for quality, efficiency, and further development of the kitchen.
Job responsibilities
Menu development and food preparation aligned with seasonality and quality.
Lead the kitchen and ensure smooth workflow within the team.
Quality assurance regarding taste, hygiene, and food safety.
Logistics and food delivery for events.
Improve work processes and ensure efficient operations.
Budgeting and costing for profitable production.
Personnel management, including training and follow-up of staff.
Requirements for the position
Culinary trade certificate as a chef or other relevant culinary education.
Leadership experience, including coordination of workflow and personnel follow-up.
Experience from kitchens, catering, cafeterias, or production kitchens.
Strong communication skills and ability to motivate and build teams.
Solid understanding of hygiene, food safety, and quality assurance.
Ability to work systematically and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong financial and numerical understanding, including costing and budget control.
Good Norwegian and English language skills, both oral and written.
Desired qualifications
Experience in menu development and creative food preparation.
Knowledge of logistics related to catering and events.
Experience in process improvement and optimization of work routines.
Leadership experience in smaller teams (3–10 people).
Class B driver’s license.
Personal qualities
