Job Summary: The Panvel Group is seeking a developer to evolve and operate its generative AI ecosystem, with a focus on real-world impact, scalability, and reliability. Key Highlights: 1. Develop innovative generative AI and multimodal solutions. The Panvel Group's Data & AI area consists of two teams: Data Science and Generative AI. Together, we develop solutions ranging from demand forecasting and price optimization models to generative AI agents and applications that impact both internal operations and our customers' experience. Our generative AI products serve all business areas and are built with a focus on real-world impact and delivery speed. The team operates in a continuous flow, with a strong culture of ownership, collaboration with business units, and technical autonomy. Our technical ecosystem combines Java/Spring Boot services with modular architecture, Python services using FastAPI, messaging with Kafka, vector databases, corporate authentication, and cloud storage. This is not a research environment: it is applied product engineering, focused on reliability, scalability, and real business impact. We are experiencing rapid growth in this area, and this position is strategic: we seek a developer ready to build, evolve, and operate this end-to-end ecosystem from day one. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Evolve generative AI services and platforms already in production; * Develop and maintain agents with tool-calling, RAG, external integrations, and synchronous/async workflows; * Build Python automations for internal demands, operations, and processes across other company departments; * Integrate language models, internal APIs, message queues, databases, storage, and corporate tools—focusing on security, observability, and governance; * Develop AI solutions beyond text, including multimodal and computer vision use cases as requirements evolve; * Define technical standards for prompts, context, evaluation, fallbacks, cost, performance, and production model operations; * Translate business problems into scalable and sustainable technical solutions; * Support the technical maturity evolution of AI projects, elevating scripts and proofs-of-concept into more robust solutions when appropriate. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Solid experience with **Java 21+ / Spring Boot 3.x** in production projects; * Proficiency in **modular or hexagonal architecture**, REST API design, and corporate integrations; * Real-world experience with **LLMs in production** — agents, prompts, function/tool calling, RAG, embeddings, streaming, and cost control; * Experience with **Python** for automations, batch jobs, integrations, and AI services; * Experience with **FastAPI** or an equivalent framework for building Python APIs; * Knowledge of **Kafka**, asynchronous processing, retries, idempotency, and distributed flows; * Experience with **MongoDB**, and at least one vector search technology such as **Qdrant** or **pgvector**; * Experience with **OAuth/OIDC**, **Keycloak**, or **Azure AD** for identity and authorization in corporate environments; * Experience managing secrets (**Vault** or similar) and securely integrating with corporate environments; * Ability to architect AI solutions with a focus on operations, observability, security, and maintainability. **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience with **Spring AI**, **LangChain**, or equivalent frameworks for agent orchestration; * Experience with **multimodal AI** and **computer vision**, including image embeddings and similarity search; * Sufficient knowledge of **Angular/BFF** to collaborate on chat flows, authentication, and frontend-backend contracts; * Experience with **Docker**, **Kubernetes**, **GitLab CI/CD**, **DataDog**, and **Prometheus** for monitoring production applications; * Ability to define standards and best practices for a mixed ecosystem of services, automations, and AI products. **Additional Information** * Work model: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Eldorado do Sul/RS and 2 days remote) * Willingness to work in **Eldorado do Sul/RS** * On-site cafeteria; * TotalPass; * Health & Dental Plan (via cooperative); * Charter transportation; * Exclusive discounts at Panvel; Caring is at our core.
