Ensures qualified and consistent Food & Beverage service **Bartender** **Principle of Responsibilities \& Purpose of the Position:** Manages beverage inventory, creates, prepares, and serves drinks at the bar counter or table, organizes the workstation, and complies with all procedures for good workplace practices. Oversees beverage setup for service and instructs Food & Beverage staff to deliver qualified and consistent Food & Beverage service. Receives beverage requests and monitors orders and storage. Ensures organization of storage areas, service areas, filing cabinets, and refrigerators. Presents checklists and reports related to beverage operations. **SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS** In addition to performing essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time spent on each function to be determined solely by the supervisor based on the company’s specific requirements. * Reads the Log Book and department notice board; * Keeps the Supervisor informed about daily operations; * Attends mandatory meetings; * Performs all assigned tasks, including restocking condiments and replenishing storage areas; * Controls withdrawal of beverages from inventory; * Manages expiration dates; * Complies with all applicable labor laws and regulations regarding cooperative staffing; * Assists with general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; * Maintains a clean and organized workstation; * Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor; * Monitors drink preparation and service timing; * Keeps Management Employees (MEs) informed about bar-related matters; * Assists at other Food & Beverage outlets as needed; * Requests services from other departments when necessary; * Processes charges in Micros according to services rendered and within financial standards; * Knows operating hours of Food & Beverage outlets and other hotel departments. **OTHER DUTIES** * Embraces the Blue Energy culture of the Hilton family and demonstrates knowledge of service standards. * Regular attendance, in accordance with standards that may be updated by Hilton from time to time, is essential to successfully perform this role. * Knowledge of Hilton Brand Quality Standards, against which your department is evaluated. * Demonstrates a positive attitude, willingness, and spirit of cooperation toward Team Members. **SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERTISE AND SKILLS** Individual must possess the following knowledge, expertise, and skills, and be able to explain and demonstrate the ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, customer relations, and etiquette. * Knowledge of bar setup, service equipment, and menu items. * Knowledge of wine service. * Ability to recall, list, and promote the variety of menu items. * Ability to consistently deliver superior quality service to customers. **EDUCATION** High school diploma completed or in progress. **LANGUAGES** Basic English or in progress. **EXPERIENCE** Two years of experience as a Bartender; if internal promotion, must have completed internally offered service training courses.
