Description

Founded in 1898 in Germany, the Messer Group—today a $3 billion global enterprise—has extensive experience in the production and supply of industrial and medical gases. With a strong presence in Europe and Asia, Messer also operates across the Americas, with operations in Canada, the United States, Brazil, Colombia, and Chile. These operations are grouped under Messer Americas, which employs approximately 5,400 people and operates more than 70 production facilities across the region. We are certified as a Great Place to Work (GPTW) and ranked #1 in the Chemical Sector by ÉPOCA Negócios Magazine’s “People Dimension” ranking! We provide people space to contribute and grow, nurturing a diverse, inclusive, and belonging-oriented environment. We believe diversity enriches collaboration and improves solutions, drives innovation and productivity, and delivers value to employees, shareholders, customers, and the community. Accordingly, we welcome diverse applications—including from Black individuals, women, LGBTQIA+ community members, people aged 50+, and persons with disabilities. If you seek to work for a multinational, diverse company that values its people, we have an opportunity for you! You will be responsible for operating production processes—including verification, inspection, and filling of cylinders, baskets, and VGLs (liquid gas vessels)—by handling equipment in the factory’s production areas, in compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards, and meeting established requirements. This includes loading and verifying customer vehicles, routes, and supplies, as well as internal product movement using electric forklifts or pallet jacks. You will also analyze medical and industrial products and manage inventory through rotating and annual stocktaking, supporting maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001). **Responsibilities and Duties** * Fill industrial and medical cylinders, baskets, and VGLs, completing required documentation in reports per quality, safety, and environmental standards. * Support execution of preventive and corrective maintenance plans according to schedule. * Maintain a clean and organized workplace. * Fulfill distribution-scheduled orders within agreed deadlines and quantities to meet the needs of internal and external customers. * Ensure filling station equipment (O-rings, flexible hoses, swivel joints), gas purifiers, vacuum pumps, cryogenic pumps, and compressors operate within pre-established quality and safety standards. * Keep analytical equipment calibrated to comply with existing quality plans. * Perform full classification, separation, and inspection (sorting) of cylinders, baskets, and VGLs. * Conduct external cylinder inspections, identifying essential parameters for approval or rejection of filling, including odor and hammer tests. * Verify routes, supplies, and customer vehicles. * Conduct periodic inventories of cylinders, baskets, and materials to align physical stock with SAP system records. * Sort, assemble, and load cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks. * Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures and policies, and support maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)—including initiatives for continuous and sustainable improvement. * Strictly adhere to established safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices for chemicals, cylinders, baskets, and VGLs. * Participate in company-provided training and development programs to enhance technical skills, process knowledge, and safety awareness. * Guarantee product specifications using available resources, minimizing costs while adhering to technical specifications and quality and safety standards. * Perform batch analysis for medical and industrial products prior to customer shipment, following area-specific standard operating procedures. * Conduct batch analysis and record results in the appropriate data system; upon completion, submit the system-generated certificate to the qualified professional for approval. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education. * Minimum two years’ experience in production or maintenance. * Preferred: familiarity with production and filling standards and internal procedures; experience with Intelex platform, SAP, HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) policy, standard operating procedures, and forklift/pallet jack operation. **Additional Information** * On-site position. * Availability to work rotating shifts. * Basic computer literacy, logical reasoning, and mathematical aptitude. Messer Gases is the world’s largest privately held company in the gas industry! We are four-time Great Place to Work® certified, recognized as the best industrial employer in Barueri and surrounding areas, and named the most innovative gas industry company for three consecutive years (Valor Innovation Award). We received a Silver Award in the “Best B2B Operations in Customer Service” category (Clientes S.A. Magazine) and were highlighted in ÉPOCA Negócios 360° Annual Report. At Messer Gases Brazil, we value our employees by fostering an ethical, safe, and pleasant work environment—because we know our results stem directly from the work performed by our people.
