The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the operational readiness and safety of machinery by performing diagnostics and repairs across various systems.

**Description**
The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic will be a key team member responsible for ensuring the full operational readiness and safety of a wide range of machinery. This professional will perform diagnostics and repairs on electrical, refrigeration, and hydraulic mechanical systems, carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on LIEBHERR and FUWA cranes, HYUNDAI and HYSTER forklifts, and Yellow Line equipment—including Volvo and Caterpillar machines. Proficiency in reading and interpreting diagrams to identify and resolve faults is essential, as is the precise replacement of parts and components. The Mechanic must ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards (e.g., NBR 15965\), manage and prioritize tasks under deadlines, dynamically handle multiple demands, apply critical thinking and urgency in problem resolution, maintain rigorous attention to detail at every stage, and accurately and systematically complete service reports and maintenance records.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
– Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
– Diagnose mechanical failures and defects across various systems.
– Adjust and calibrate mechanical components.
– Monitor machine operation to identify the need for repairs.
– Prepare reports on maintenance activities performed.
– Collaborate in equipment assembly and disassembly as required.
– Adhere to established safety regulations and operational procedures.
– Maintain and update technical documentation and maintenance records.
Requirements and Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems for equipment maintenance.
Solid knowledge of refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic mechanics.
Ability to read diagrams and identify faults.
Knowledge of forklifts and cranes (including LIEBHERR, FUWA, HYUNDAI, and HYSTER models).
Knowledge and experience in maintaining Yellow Line equipment (Volvo and Caterpillar).
Familiarity with standard NBR 15965 (if relevant to the company’s scope).
