





Provide courteous service and ensure customers have a pleasant experience when completing their purchase. * Perform cash register opening and closing procedures. * Control the cash limit at your checkout, calling the cashier supervisor to make withdrawals whenever the limit is reached (cash removal) and verifying withdrawal amounts together with the supervisor. * Prepare snacks requested by customers at the snack counter. * Arrange the counter with fried or baked savory items. * Monitor expiration dates of products displayed for sale. * Present products and services to customers, make them available at checkout, and facilitate their sale. * Provide customers with pleasant and empathetic service, scanning products and services using an optical reader. * Verify the authenticity of banknotes received. * Call the cashier supervisor whenever necessary to reverse possible errors, cancel items, or retrieve desired but unavailable products. * Interact with supermarket operators regarding issues related to items left at the register, price discrepancies, customer inquiries about products, etc. * Provide priority service to pregnant women, elderly individuals, and people with disabilities. * Receive payments for products and services sold. * Control incoming cash. * Assist customers in packing their purchases. * Contribute to achieving performance targets. * Check the weight of goods coming from the perishables department. * Keep all cash register documentation well organized, such as TEF (Electronic Funds Transfer), where receipts relate to validation control of purchases made via debit or credit cards; manage POS (Points of Sale), settlement of purchases made through portable card machines, ensuring control over receipts for products not validated on the card machine at the PDV (Point of Sale). * Register orders placed at the PDV (Point of Sale). * During idle time, organize checkout baskets, return shopping carts to designated areas, process returns of items left at the register by customers, assist in product pricing, and help decorate the store during festive seasons. * Record incidents occurring during cash register operations: exchanges, withdrawals, item cancellations, coupons, and cards. * Notify the cashier supervisor if there is any suspicion of theft by customers or employees at the checkout. * Inform the cashier supervisor when there is a shortage of cash (cash shortage). * Correctly fill out all fields of forms and indicate the presence of frozen goods when applicable. * Do not manually open cash registers, even if technical issues occur with the equipment; in such cases, request assistance from a superior to resolve the issue. * Keep the checkout area clean, sanitized, and ready for customers. * Maintain cleanliness of the snack bar area, both internally and externally. * Receive complaints calmly and empathetically, attempting to resolve simple issues directly; otherwise, report to management to finalize service and address the problem, avoiding confrontations with customers. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of your work area and common-use areas such as cafeterias and restrooms.
