HEAVY MACHINERY OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION Are you detail-oriented, responsible, and do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment? Then this position is for you! We are looking for a Heavy Machinery Operator to join our team. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Operate or drive machinery up to 170 HP * Operate crawler tractors for waste spreading, compaction, and landfill cover; * Use roller compactors for soil compaction; * Operate machinery in compliance with safety regulations and limits, taking all necessary precautions to prevent spills, rollovers, collisions, and load spillage * Maintain machinery in perfect cleanliness and working condition * Verify equipment operational conditions—checking water level, oil level, filters, etc.—before commencing work (completed checklist); * Report equipment issues to the maintenance department and/or supervisor; * Monitor equipment activities and respective ohmmeter readings, accurately completing daily logs per coordination instructions. * Use hydraulic excavators for truck loading, drainage construction, waste unloading, trench excavation, and other applicable tasks. * Use front-end loaders for material loading in areas requiring higher productivity, and other applicable tasks.
