Forest Harvesting Supervisor

Description

Supervise harvesting (felling and skidding) and forest logistics operations. **Responsibilities and duties** * Guide the team according to operational and safety procedures. * Supervise and monitor forest felling and skidding activities to meet targets as per planning. * Supervise and monitor forest loading and transportation activities to meet targets as per planning. * Responsible for the consistency and relevance of information consolidated in the Measurement Bulletin \- MB. * Supervise operational activities related to forest harvesting and transportation, both internal and outsourced. * Guide, monitor, and conduct surveys and evaluations to ensure the quality of forest harvesting. * Plan activities, implement them, and prepare work orders in the system; * Prepare reports containing planning and production information for forest harvesting and logistics. * Conduct and implement microplanning for forest felling and skidding. * Conduct and implement microplanning for forest transportation. * Define felling and skidding areas (compartments), jointly with the coordinator. * Define eucalyptus log stacking areas within compartments. * Control and measure eucalyptus log inventory on farms. * Control and measure eucalyptus log outflow from farms and compare it with expected volume according to the Pre\-harvest Inventory. * Support implementation of the Forest Inventory. * Control production output of forest harvesting machinery. * Supervise maintenance and construction of roads and access routes. * Supervise field measurement of eucalyptus log moisture content, in accordance with company procedure. * Hold meetings with the team and service providers to discuss microplan progress. * Develop performance indicators related to eucalyptus felling and skidding process efficiency, focusing on cost reduction, productivity improvement, moisture control, and safety risk reduction. * Respect and comply with all occupational health and safety regulations, guidelines, instructions, and/or procedures, and correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company. * Comply with policies, rules, code of conduct, and all internal procedures applicable to the position (quality, environment, safety, human resources, and operational areas), and participate in internal and/or external training sessions requested by the company. * Perform other related and inherent duties of the position. * Pursue continuous improvement of the processes involved in the role. **Requirements and qualifications** Completed high school or completed technical education \- Agricultural / Forestry / Agribusiness ### **Ready to renew the world?** **Hello, nice to meet you!** We are Veolia Group, a global leader and reference in environmental solutions.
