Job Summary: Plan and optimize transportation routes, manage fleets and cargo, monitor performance, and analyze costs to maximize operational efficiency and safety. Key Highlights: 1. Freight cost analysis and optimization Description: **Travel Planning:** Plan weekly routes for each tractor unit and semi-trailer; optimize travel paths and define timing and movements to ensure route execution without excessive working hours, trips during unauthorized hours, or stops in sections prohibited by insurers; **Fleet and Cargo Management:** Monitor transportation service performance and delivery status in real time; Identify idle routes and seek return cargo to maximize truck utilization (consider required loading/unloading time in planning to maintain schedule adherence); Schedule corrective and preventive maintenance for equipment to keep the fleet in optimal operating and safety condition. **Cost Analysis and Optimization:** Analyze freight costs (outbound and return trips), prioritizing maximum cost reduction for traveled routes; Monitor and track transportation department performance indicators (KPIs). Requirements: Experience in the transportation field; Completed or ongoing undergraduate degree in Administration, Logistics, or related fields is a plus.
