Check below for more details about the **Software Leader** role. **Responsibilities and Duties** ----------------------------------- **You will:** * Define and implement the software development strategy for the Innovation Lab, aligned with company guidelines; * Build a highly qualified engineering team, promoting best practices in development and collaboration; * Actively participate in recruiting new talent for the software engineering team in Portugal. * Oversee the digital product lifecycle—from conception to delivery—ensuring high quality and efficiency; * Foster an agile development and DevOps culture, ensuring automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD); * Explore new technologies and frameworks to drive innovation and increase competitiveness; * Collaborate closely with the Head of Innovation to align technological solutions with business needs; * Manage technology vendors and strategic partnerships; * Ensure implementation, maintenance, security, and scalability of software quality standards—including code reviews and testing strategies. **Requirements and Qualifications** ------------------------------ **You must have:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Analysis and Development, or equivalent; * Knowledge of cloud-based software architecture patterns—microservices, layered architecture, etc.; * A professional passionate about developing high-quality software, experienced with more than one programming language; * Teamwork skills, interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and appetite for challenges; * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and serverless solutions; * Advanced English proficiency. **Preferred qualifications:** * Experience with agribusiness technology solutions—especially smart irrigation, soil monitoring, and agricultural management; * Knowledge of IoT and edge computing applied to agribusiness; * Familiarity with predictive weather models and water resource optimization; * Knowledge of integrating agricultural ERP systems and big data platforms for rural management; * Experience with data analysis and Business Intelligence (BI) tools; * Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). **Additional Information** -------------------------- **You will receive:** * Health insurance; * Life insurance; * Remuneration in euros (€), in a position affiliated with iCrop Portugal but operating from Brazil.
