Job Summary:
The Senior Occupational Safety Technician ensures employee safety, prevents accidents, and promotes occupational health by implementing safety standards and conducting training and inspections.

The Senior Occupational Safety Technician is responsible for ensuring employee safety in the workplace, preventing accidents, and promoting occupational health. Additionally, they implement safety standards and procedures, conduct training and inspections to ensure compliance with current legislation.
* Conduct safety inspections at company facilities, identifying potential hazards and proposing preventive measures
* Develop and review operational procedures related to occupational safety, ensuring their effectiveness and up-to-dateness
* Conduct safety training for employees, covering topics such as use of PPE, accident prevention, and first aid
* Investigate workplace accidents, analyzing their causes and proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
* Monitor the development and implementation of the PPRA (Program for Prevention of Environmental Hazards) and the PCMSO (Occupational Health Surveillance Program)
* Participate in meetings with the CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) to discuss occupational safety and health issues
* Stay updated on labor legislation and regulatory norms, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
* Guide employees on the proper use of individual and collective protective equipment
* Conduct awareness campaigns on occupational safety, aiming to prevent accidents and occupational diseases
* Collaborate in developing emergency and evacuation plans, ensuring worker safety in hazardous situations
