Project leadership and implementation of continuous improvements **Description:** Optimize the company’s production processes by applying technical engineering and management concepts in studies and projects to enhance safety in the manufacturing environment, improve product quality, and reduce operational costs. Manage the introduction of new products and formulations into manufacturing scale-up, defining the necessary operational parameters to achieve good performance in mass production. **Detailed Responsibilities:** * Adapt processes according to production batch size; * Calculate, simulate, and analyze process costs; * Conduct process development and scale\-up for modifications to existing products and new products; * Monitor manufacturing operations and analyze pilot batches; * Implement new technologies at the site; * Conduct internal process audits; * Collect operational and managerial performance indicators and issue reports to senior management; * Apply statistical analysis tools, data collection methods, root cause analysis techniques, propose and execute corrective actions; * Identify opportunities and implement improvements for process optimization; * Act as project leader by developing business cases (financial feasibility assessments), conducting cross-functional validations, and presenting to management/executive leadership; * Execute process projects, equipment commissioning, and start\-ups; * Manage the manufacturing project portfolio; * Develop and revise operational procedures and work/process instructions; * Simulate processes in the laboratory for root cause analysis or process improvement; * Develop and deliver operational training; * Identify, analyze, and resolve process safety issues; * Support the Quality and EHS systems and their respective tools; * Assist in defining containment actions for quality issues; * Serve as the liaison between Quality, Project Engineering, Maintenance, and Manufacturing; * Apply 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to eliminate waste, maintain an organized and clean workplace, and ensure machines and equipment are properly maintained; * Manage varying workloads by balancing immediate short\-term needs with strategic business requirements; * Support the development plan for Junior and Pleno Process Engineers and interns through theoretical and practical training; * Perform other related duties as determined by the immediate supervisor and/or in accordance with work process procedures and/or quality system procedures; **Mandatory Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering **Desirable Requirements:** * Experience in chemical processes * Advanced English language proficiency * Intermediate Spanish language proficiency * Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency * Experience in project management * ERP system knowledge * Proficiency in problem analysis and resolution tools (e.g., Ishikawa diagram, PDCA, Pareto chart, 5 Whys) * Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP) * Lean Six\-Sigma Green or Black Belt certification PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
