Mentor engineers and ensure resilience of high-scale solutions As a Backend Software Project Leader at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment with cutting-edge technology, applying engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning, with the purpose of democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine yourself spearheading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and being responsible for: * Defining and evolving architectures of scalable systems focused on high availability and performance. * Technically leading the Checkout team to ensure adoption of engineering best practices and code quality. * Driving development of innovative solutions using GenAI in mission-critical products. * Mentoring engineers through code reviews and technical discussions to foster team growth. * Ensuring resilience of solutions to support high transaction volumes with low latency. * Evaluating new technologies and tools to guarantee continuous evolution of the payments ecosystem. What we are looking for in you? * Solid software development experience with expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture. * Prior experience in technical leadership of teams or high-complexity projects. * Proficiency in Java and Go programming languages applied to critical environments. * Demonstrated experience with high-scale systems, preferably in payments or e-commerce. * Familiarity with design patterns for building robust and secure APIs.
