Collect and analyze soil, water, and harvest samples to evaluate quality and suitability for use. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Monitor agricultural activities such as soil preparation, planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting; * Monitor and manage pests, diseases, and weeds using integrated pest and disease management (IPM and IDM) techniques, including identifying pest species and assessing damage; * Supervise the proper use of inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides); * Operate or guide the use of agricultural machinery and implements; * Conduct soil, harvest, and water tests to assess their quality and suitability for agricultural use; * Collect rainfall data daily from fields when necessary; * Gather and record in the system agricultural data related to field monitoring, crop yields, soil conditions, and weather patterns; * Maintain and repair agricultural equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality. Regular maintenance helps prevent equipment failure and extends machinery lifespan; * Assist in planting, crop maintenance, and harvesting of crops, supporting field coordinators as needed; * Assist partners, researchers, and coordinators in conducting agricultural experiments and trials, including setting up experiments, collecting data, and analyzing results to contribute to agricultural advancements; * Keep accurate records of agricultural activities, including crop rotations, pest control measures, and fertilizer applications; * Monitor agricultural product quality throughout the production process. Contribute to minimizing grain losses during harvest and advise field coordinators on necessary machine adjustments; * Comply with all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as leg guards, knee pads, elbow pads, face shields, helmets, gloves, safety glasses, and other required gear, reporting any safety issues or risks encountered; * Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and safety standards. Staying updated on local, state, and federal regulations is essential for maintaining operational legality; * Actively participate in the Internal Rural Work Accident Prevention Week (SIPATR), in accordance with regulatory standards applicable to the agricultural sector; * Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to agricultural operations; * Collaborate with other field team members and follow instructions from immediate supervisors to ensure efficiency and quality of Hervalense's operations; * Perform other related duties as assigned by superiors; * Safeguard company assets, preserving equipment, furniture, and other resources provided by Hervalense.
