Collaborative work with engineering, analytics, and business teams **What We’re Looking For:** =================== We are looking for a Data Engineer with advanced cloud expertise to support a strategic data project for a banking-sector client, focusing on building and evolving robust and scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The professional will be responsible for integrating, transforming, and delivering data across various services, with strong emphasis on BigQuery, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Run—ensuring data quality, performance, and governance. **Work Mode:** Remote (or hybrid, per client’s adopted model) – 3 days per week onsite. **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Solid Python experience applied to data engineering * Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) * Practical experience with: * BigQuery * Cloud Spanner * Cloud Run (or similar serverless services) * Experience building data pipelines (ETL/ELT) * Knowledge of data modeling and query optimization * Familiarity with APIs and microservices architecture **Responsibilities:** * Develop and maintain data pipelines (ETL/ELT) between BigQuery and Spanner * Implement Python-based services for data consumption and exposure via Cloud Run * Optimize queries and processes for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency * Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance * Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams * Monitor, maintain, and evolve production data pipelines and data flows **Nice-to-Haves / Differentiators** * Experience in the financial industry (banks, fintechs, payments) * Knowledge of event-driven architecture * Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Cloud Composer, etc.) * Exposure to DataOps and CI/CD practices * Knowledge of data security and compliance (LGPD, etc.) **Behavioral Profile:** ============================= We seek a candidate who: * Enjoys teamwork and is **collaborative** in their responsibilities; * Has the **courage** to challenge themselves and go beyond, embracing new growth opportunities; * Transforms ideas into **creative solutions** and pursues excellence in all daily tasks; * Possesses strong **problem-solving skills**; * Is capable and comfortable working independently and **managing their own time**; * Is interested in tackling technologically **adverse and innovative** situations.
