**Responsibilities and duties*** Perform mechanical diagnostics and analysis on motors and generators, identifying failures and proposing corrective and preventive solutions.
* Conduct and interpret vibration testing, balancing, alignment, and dimensional measurements.
* Carry out technical inspections on shafts, bearings, rolling elements, frames, and cooling systems.
* Support preventive, corrective maintenance activities, and major shutdowns (overhauls).
* Prepare technical reports, failure assessments, and inspection documentation.
* Participate in retrofit and modernization projects for rotating electrical machines, aiming for higher efficiency and reliability.
* Specify mechanical materials, processes, and components.
* Conduct supplier qualification visits and oversee execution of external services.
* Provide field commissioning support, monitoring performance tests and validations.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
* Perform mechanical calculations applied to electric motors and generators.
* Support engineering in design modifications and development of technical solutions.
* Conduct production audits in critical processes, ensuring quality control.
* Assist in other section activities as needed.
* Develop training materials and internal training programs to support the development and qualification of new professionals.
**Requirements and qualifications** **Education:**
* Technical degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering. A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields is desirable.
**Desired knowledge:**
* Reading and interpretation of **technical drawings** and international standards (IEC, IEEE, API, ISO);
* Intermediate English;
* Prior experience in maintenance, design, or operation of medium- and large-size rotating electrical machines;
