Inspect fabric quality, identifying potential defects or irregularities that may compromise the final product. Operation of Cutting Machines and Tools: Handle cutting machines—such as electric knives, band saws, and scissors—according to instructions and safety regulations. Adjust and calibrate cutting machines as needed to ensure precise and uniform cuts. Cutting Execution: Follow patterns and markings to cut fabrics according to project specifications. Ensure cut pieces meet established quality standards and dimensional requirements. Organization and Storage: Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring fabrics and tools are properly stored and easily accessible. Sort and categorize cut pieces to facilitate subsequent production stages. General Production Support: Collaborate with other members of the garment production team to optimize workflow. Provide support for other tasks as needed, such as assembling prototype pieces or packaging finished products. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of cutting activities, including quantities of fabric used and numbers of cut pieces. Report any issues or inconsistencies to the immediate supervisor for resolution. Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to occupational safety regulations, using personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. Contribute to maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace.
