Summary: As a Behavioural Analytics Engineer, you will transform raw behavioral data into business logic, leveraging expert SQL and web analytics domain knowledge to build comprehensive player narratives at Silverspin. Highlights: 1. Transform raw behavioral data into actionable business logic 2. Leverage expert SQL for advanced data modeling and metric engineering 3. Collaborate across teams to drive data-driven decision-making ### **Position Overview** As a Behavioural Analytics Engineer at Silverspin, you will own the transformation layer of our bespoke Snowplow\-based behavioral data platform. You will be responsible for the “engine room” where raw, unstructured behavioral data is cleaned, unified, and converted into business logic. You will leverage expert\-level SQL, your domain knowledge of web analytics, ideally, in gaming and/or sportsbook behavior to build the logic that stitches individual events into a comprehensive player narrative. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Snowplow Platform Rollout: Support the Associate Director of Behaviour Analytics and the Head of MarTech in the end\-to\-end rollout and scaling of the Snowplow Behavioural Data Platform. * Transformation \& Medallion Architecture: Direct the transformation of raw Snowplow atomic events in Databricks into refined Silver\-level tables. Ensure data integrity from source to Gold\-level summaries. * Identity Resolution: Develop and maintain the evolving logic for user and session stitching across all digital touchpoints (web, app, and mobile) within the Databricks environment. * Metric Engineering: Use SQL to perform the "heavy lifting" of building basic and advanced behavioural metrics—such as conversion rates, retention, and complex churn funnels—directly in the data warehouse. * Pipeline \& Validation: Partner with Product Development, Data Engineering, and BI teams to build behavioural data pipelines and lead technical validation and business reconciliation. * High\-Performance Reporting: Ingest Gold\-level tables into Microsoft Fabric to create lean, high\-performance semantic models. Focus on simplifying report rendering by shifting complexity from DAX to SQL. * Actionable Insights: Support the Associate Director of Behaviour Analytics and other teams in analyzing player patterns and abandonment issues in acquisition, monetization, and retention funnels to provide insights for Product, UX, Marketing, and Payments. * Data Governance: Work with key stakeholders to establish and enforce frameworks for data quality, privacy compliance, and security standards. * Evangelisation: Work across cross\-functional boundaries to promote the adoption of our reporting suite and aid in data\-driven decision\-making ### **Requirements** * Demonstrated expertise in writing advanced, highly optimized SQL for complex data modelling. This includes proven proficiency in utilizing window functions, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and performance tuning to build advanced metrics like conversion rates, retention, and churn funnels directly in the warehouse. * Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain evolving logic for user and session stitching across all digital touchpoints, including web, mobile app, and mobile web. * Technical familiarity with event based tracking design, database schema and event\-based data structures, including the ability to scale these platforms in an enterprise environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, with a focus on creating lean semantic models. * Experience partnering with product development and data engineering teams to build, monitor, and troubleshoot robust behavioural data pipelines. * Experience in collaborating with data teams to design, implement, and enforce frameworks for data quality and security standards. * Ability to partner effectively to lead technical validation and business reconciliation of behavioural data against transactional realities. * Capacity to move beyond data processing to analyze player patterns providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders. * A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Marketing, or a related quantitative field * Understanding of B2C e\-commerce web analytics ideally within a gaming or sportsbook environment. *The above duties provide a generic description of the Employee’s day to day responsibilities but should in no way be deemed to be an exhaustive list. Additional related, duties may be assigned by the Line Manager in line with business exigencies and continuity.* ### **Why Work With Us?** At Silverspin, we’re not just about work—we’re about passion, innovation, and community.
