Ready to begin? **With us, you can.** **About This Opportunity** WSP Brazil is launching a search for a **Hydrology Intern**, to be based in **Belo Horizonte/MG**. **Responsibilities for This Role** * Support the compilation, organization, and interpretation of hydrological data, including historical flow, rainfall, and climatological series. * Assist in developing databases, charts, thematic maps, and technical figures. * Collaborate on surface water availability studies, water balance assessments, and water supply-and-demand scenarios. * Support basic hydrological analyses, including evaluation of average, maximum, and minimum flows. * Support entry-level hydrological and hydraulic modeling activities (e.g., preparation of input data). * Assist in preparing reports, spreadsheets, technical notes, and presentations. * Contribute to surface drainage diagnostics, stormwater management, and runoff estimation. * Support integrated environmental studies, including EIA/RIMA, closure plans, and water resource management for projects. * Develop knowledge of best practices in applied hydrology, monitoring, standards, and technical tools. **Required Qualifications** * Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Geology, or related fields. * Interest in building a career in hydrology, water resources, and hydrological modeling. * Ability to work with data, organize information, and prepare documents. * Proficiency in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). * Strong written communication skills and attention to detail. * Availability to intern in a hybrid model at the Belo Horizonte office. **Preferred Qualifications** * Basic understanding of hydrology, climatology, surface drainage, or water resources. * Introductory knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and technical drawing software (AutoCAD). * Initial familiarity with hydrological/hydraulic modeling software or methods (HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, RiverFlow, etc.). * Basic knowledge of applied statistics, time series, and environmental data analysis. * Introductory knowledge of programming tools applicable to data analysis (Python, R, SQL, or similar). * Intermediate level English and/or Spanish (desirable) **What WSP Brazil Offers:** * You can join our “Own It” program, allowing you to purchase shares of WSP Global through monthly payroll-deducted contributions and benefit from an additional 50% contribution from WSP (up to a defined maximum amount).
