Crisis management and infrastructure project planning. **Your typical day:** * **Strategic Leadership:** Coordinate the technical team responsible for maintaining and evolving Linux and Windows environments, ensuring delivery of highly available services to external customers (hosting) and internal users. * **Performance Management:** Define, monitor, and improve service levels (SLAs/SLOs) and operational metrics across the entire server ecosystem. * **Infrastructure Modernization:** Lead standardization initiatives, routine automation, and infrastructure modernization efforts to eliminate manual tasks and technical debt. * **Crisis Management:** Take frontline responsibility during critical incidents, ensuring rapid service restoration, effective stakeholder communication, and root cause analysis (RCA). * **Project Planning:** Coordinate the full lifecycle of servers and services—from migration and upgrade planning to implementation of new infrastructure technologies. * **Security and Compliance:** Oversee hardening practices, patch management, backup policies, and security compliance across all environments. * **Cross-Team Collaboration:** Actively collaborate with Networking, Security, Product, and Engineering teams to enable new solutions and continuous improvements. * **Resource Management:** Control budgets, timelines, and allocation of technical resources for infrastructure projects. * **Excellence Culture:** Promote technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) culture within the team. **Responsibilities and Qualifications** * **Leadership Experience:** Proven track record coordinating technical teams, developing talent, and managing IT team performance. * **Architectural Vision:** Ability to understand complex environments and propose solutions that balance technological innovation with operational stability. * **Consultative Skills:** Influential profile capable of engaging stakeholders at all hierarchical levels and building strategic cross-departmental partnerships. * **Agile Mindset:** Practical experience applying agile frameworks to infrastructure and IT operations. * **Scale Focus:** Prior experience managing large-scale server fleets, whether in internal data centers or hosting providers. **Requirements and Qualifications** * **Academic Background:** Completed undergraduate degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. * **Operating Systems:** Advanced administration of Linux ecosystems (Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian) and Windows Server (versions 2012 through 2022). * **Network and Application Services:** Expertise in web servers (NGINX, Apache, IIS), databases (MySQL, SQL Server), and essential protocols (DNS, SMTP, FTP). * **Hosting:** Proficiency in hosting environments: * Web servers (Apache, NGINX, IIS); * Databases (MySQL/MariaDB, SQL Server); * DNS, FTP, SMTP, POP/IMAP; * Common hosting control panels and tools (cPanel, Plesk, internal tools, automated provisioning, etc.); * **Virtualization and Orchestration:** Platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, or Proxmox. * **Automation and IaC:** Experience with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet) and scripting (Shell, PowerShell). * **Observability:** Monitoring and data analysis tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK or similar). * **Application Troubleshooting:** Ability to diagnose multi-language applications (PHP, Node.js, .NET) and debug hardware/software bottlenecks. * **Infrastructure Security:** Knowledge of hardening, WAF, attack mitigation (DDoS), firewalls, and vulnerability management in multi-tenant environments. * **IT Processes:** Strong understanding of incident, change, and problem management based on industry best practices (ITIL). **Additional Information** **What we offer:** Health insurance; Dental insurance; Meal allowance or food allowance; Childcare assistance; Profit-sharing program (PPR); Birthday day off; Life insurance; Wellhub; Férias&Co (travel benefit); 6-month maternity leave and 20-day paternity leave; Flexible working hours; #Secuida – our Quality of Life Program; Partnerships with numerous educational institutions, healthcare providers, leisure and entertainment venues, among others.
