Managing calibration of machines and measuring instruments **Job Objective** Perform laboratory tests, trials, and analyses on materials and components, ensuring compliance with technical standards, customer requirements, operational safety, and the automotive sector’s quality management system standards. **Main Responsibilities** * Perform mechanical and physicochemical tests on rubber and metallic components using equipment such as **MTS and Rheometer** (tensile, compression, hardness, and failure analyses); * Conduct product and process audits, including production line monitoring when required; * Apply concepts of **metrology and dimensional control**, including reading and interpreting technical drawings; * Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges; * Identify and diagnose failures in parts, components, and equipment, proposing corrective and preventive actions; * Manage calibration schedules for machines and measuring instruments; * Operate, calibrate, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on laboratory equipment; * Prepare samples, reagents, and solutions for physicochemical tests; * Draft technical reports, test records, control plans, and work instructions; * Manage receipt, release, and control of laboratory materials and supplies; * Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality departments; * Ensure standard parts management in manufacturing; * Conduct studies on acceptance criteria for measuring instruments based on certificates. **Requirements** * Technical qualification in Quality, Materials, Chemistry, or related fields; * Laboratory experience, materials testing, or industrial quality control experience; * Knowledge of technical drawing reading and interpretation, and basic metrology; * Experience preparing technical reports and process documentation; * **Preferred:** Experience with elastomeric materials, rubber, and vulcanization processes.
