In this role, you can make a difference through the following activities:
Develop, implement, and evaluate each student’s Individual Development Plan (IDP) by identifying specific skills and educational needs; define and organize pedagogical methodologies, strategies, and accessible resources.
Provide specialized educational support to students according to their IDPs, establishing schedules and workload (individual or small-group sessions), conducted during the opposite shift, in the Resource Room, or via support to classroom teachers and/or collaborative teaching.
Plan and produce accessible pedagogical materials for the Resource Room/school learning environments, considering students’ specific needs, and monitor the functionality and applicability of pedagogical resources.
Establish partnerships with interdisciplinary areas to develop strategies and provide accessibility resources;
Provide support to families and specialized professionals as needed, in partnership with the Pedagogical Team.
Teach students how to use assistive technology to enhance their functional abilities, promoting autonomy and participation;
Collaborate with general classroom teachers to ensure the availability of services, pedagogical resources, accessibility tools, and strategies that foster student participation in school activities.
Welcome and support students who are the target population of Special Education and their families throughout the school adaptation process.
Provide theoretical-conceptual training support to teachers and other educators regarding pedagogical practices that enhance the teaching and learning process for students across different school environments.
Support teachers and the pedagogical team in preparing the following documents: Descriptive Report (or document reflecting the student’s learning), Pedagogical Report (for students without formal diagnosis/assessment reports), Curriculum Adaptations, Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), and Specific Completion Criteria.
**Requirements for this role:**
**Education:** Completed Bachelor’s Degree — Pedagogy or Teacher Education programs.
