We are seeking a proactive and organized person who loves Japanese culinary culture to join our team! If you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and want to learn and prepare onigiri, this position is for you.
Your responsibilities will include:
* **Ingredient Preparation (Mise en place):** Washing, cutting, and preparing vegetables, proteins, and side dishes.
* **Rice Production:** Assisting in cooking and seasoning Japanese rice (*shari*).
* **Plating:** Supporting the assembly of onigiri and other menu items, ensuring brand visual standards.
* **Organization and Cleaning:** Keeping your workstation clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.
* **Inventory Management:** Assisting in receiving and verifying incoming goods.
Requirements:
* Completed high school education.
* Prior kitchen experience is desirable (experience with Japanese food is a plus but not mandatory — we provide training!).
* Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
* Flexible availability (including Saturdays).
* Team spirit and good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Interest in Asian culture and gastronomy.
* Certification in food handling best practices.
