We are seeking a professional to work as a **Mineral Resources Specialist** on our Carajás Projects, PA.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Provide input and guidance in preparing drilling programs and activities for resource development.
* Develop, update, and maintain mineral resource models for project development studies, ensuring compliance with international standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43\-101, CRIRSCO, CBRR, etc.).
* Prepare technical mineral resource reports and participate in internal and external audits.
* Assess risks associated with Mineral Resources activities and develop risk mitigation plans.
* Monitor and continuously act to ensure the performance of geological and geotechnical datasets for Mineral Resources.
* Continuously monitor and take action to ensure that the performance of geological, geotechnical, and analytical datasets for Mineral Resources meets required QA/QC standards.
* Support the Projects Engineering team in mine design and site layout.
* Support strategic planning, budget preparation, and various stages of feasibility studies.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of mineral resource estimation and reporting processes.
* Provide support to the MROR Project Manager.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Mandatory Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related fields.
* Proficiency in modeling software (e.g., Datamine, Leapfrog, Vulcan).
* In-depth knowledge of QA/QC practices.
* Demonstrated proficiency in using geostatistical techniques/methods associated with resource estimation.
* Minimum of 4 years’ experience in mineral resource estimation for gold or base metal deposits in narrow veins, preferably in underground operations.
* Functional knowledge and prior work experience with international reporting standards (JORC, NI 43\-101, CRIRSCO, CBRR, etc.).
* The ability to meet compliance requirements to qualify as a Competent Person or Qualified Person would be an advantage.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and technical writing skills.
* Active professional registration or eligibility (e.g., CREA, AusIMM, CBRR, CIM, or other recognized organizations) will be considered a plus.
**Desirable Requirements:**
* Experience in underground projects with exposure to hybrid operations (open-pit \+ underground).
* Experience with different ore types and deposit styles.
* Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
