Job Summary:
Supervise, plan, and ensure the execution of electromechanical maintenance on filtration equipment, lead teams, and promote continuous improvement with a focus on safety.
Key Highlights:
1. Leadership of teams in electromechanical maintenance of filtration equipment
2. Focus on safety, reliability, and continuous process improvement
3. Application of advanced diagnostic and risk management techniques
**JOB SUMMARY:**
Supervise, plan, and ensure the execution of electromechanical maintenance on equipment in the **filtration** area (filters, pumps, vacuum systems, agitators, thickeners, and peripherals), ensuring **availability, reliability, and safety**. Lead teams, monitor maintenance KPIs, ensure compliance with **SSMA** standards, and promote **continuous improvement**.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* **Planning and supervision** of **corrective, preventive, and predictive** maintenance activities, supported by PCM.
* **Field monitoring** of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical interventions; safe equipment release.
* **Risk and safety management:** verification of **PT**, **LOTO** (lockout/tagout), pre-job risk assessment, and access condition evaluation.
* **Operational adjustments and testing** on filters, pumps, vacuum systems, dosing systems, basic instrumentation, and drives.
* **Failure diagnosis** (RCA/RCM/FMEA) and implementation of reliability actions.
* **Team and third-party management:** task allocation, training, DDS (Daily Safety Talks), and lessons learned.
* **Management of materials/spares**, tools, and service contracts.
* **Systematic recordkeeping** in maintenance software (work orders, technical history, reports, and KPIs).
* **Coordination with Operations, Engineering, SSMA, and Quality** for improvements and commissioning activities.
**Note:** This position does **not** routinely involve “energized” work at high voltage; when unavoidable and permitted, such work must strictly follow NR‑10 with specific procedures and certifications. Work at height and in confined spaces may occur **occasionally**, subject to PT and appropriate training.
**Required Technical Competencies:**
**1\. Electromechanical Maintenance**
* Knowledge of **corrective, preventive, and predictive** maintenance.
* Proficiency with **filtration** equipment, **pumps**, **vacuum systems**, **agitators**, and **thickeners**.
* Ability to perform **operational adjustments and testing** after interventions.
**2\. Diagnosis and Reliability**
* Identification and analysis of failures using **RCA, RCM, and FMEA**.
* Application of predictive techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, inspections).
**3\. Instrumentation and Drives**
* Basic understanding of **instrumentation** (pressure, level, flow, temperature).
* Adjustment and verification of **electrical drives**: inverters, soft\-starters, and motors.
**4\. SSMA and Technical Standards**
* Application of **PT**, **LOTO**, JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and requirements of **NR‑10, NR‑33, and NR‑35**.
* Ensuring safe equipment release and field risk control.
**5\. PCM and Maintenance Systems**
* Use of **maintenance software** (CMMS/ERP) for work orders, histories, and KPIs.
* Planning with PCM, backlog control, and indicator management.
**6\. Materials and Contract Management**
* Management of **spare parts**, tools, and maintenance contracts.
* Understanding of asset criticality and spare part requirements.
**7\. Technical Interface**
* Technical coordination with Operations, Engineering, SSMA, and suppliers for improvements and commissioning.
**Required Behavioral Competencies:**
**1\. Leadership and People Management**
* Guides, monitors, and develops the team.
* Assigns tasks clearly and fairly.
* Conducts DDS, feedback sessions, and lessons learned reviews.
**2\. Clear and Assertive Communication**
* Communicates risks, priorities, and instructions objectively.
* Maintains effective interface with Operations, Engineering, SSMA, and Third Parties.
**3\. Safety Focus**
* Enforces operational discipline, PT, LOTO, and compliance with NR regulations.
* Adopts zero tolerance for critical deviations.
**4\. Decision Making and Prioritization**
* Makes decisions based on risk, impact, and availability.
* Maintains technical rigor even under pressure.
**5\. Organization and Discipline**
* Adheres to routines, standards, checklists, and CMMS records.
* Maintains control over materials, tools, and indicators.
**6\. Process Orientation and Continuous Improvement**
* Identifies opportunities for improvement in maintenance and operations.
* Acts to reduce recurring failures and increase reliability.
**7\. Collaboration and Teamwork**
* Facilitates alignment across departments.
* Fosters an environment of cooperation and mutual respect.
