Job Summary: The Traffic Inspector is responsible for inspecting highway sections, identifying abnormalities, and providing on-site assistance to ensure the safety of teams and users. Provide assistance and information to users at the support base The Traffic Inspector's primary mission is to operate light or medium vehicles to inspect highway sections, identify abnormalities on travel lanes, shoulders, right-of-way areas, and unauthorized services or construction works, and provide on-site assistance on the highway to ensure the safety of other teams and users. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Respond daily to all requests issued by the Operational Control Center (CCO), including accidents, incidents, general mechanical failures, operational support, and assistance to the Federal Highway Police (PRF). * Set up traffic signage at incident sites on the highway to ensure the safety and integrity of personnel and users receiving assistance, and to alert passing vehicles that an incident is in progress. * Provide assistance to users at the Support Assistance Unit (SAU), delivering information and guidance to resolve potential queries, ensuring service quality and user satisfaction on the highway. * Conduct traffic inspections along the concessioned section, monitoring the right-of-way area and identifying potential hazards to road safety, such as unauthorized access points, encroachments, unlicensed constructions, and illegal advertising, among others. * Follow standard operating procedures as outlined in the Concessionaire’s Operations Manual. * Ensure proper functioning and cleanliness of the patrol vehicle, performing routine checklists and regular inspections of tools and materials, while maintaining an organized support base to guarantee high-quality user assistance. * Complete the company’s standard form for all assistance events, recording all user data and details of the assisted vehicle, as well as capturing photographic evidence of the incident (when necessary) and forwarding it to the CCO for registration. * Communicate exclusively via radio network with the Operational Control Center (CCO), logging data, incidents, dispatches, and other required information. * During inspection duties, remove objects and animals from the roadway to maintain user safety and traffic flow. Nova Rota do Oeste is the concessionaire responsible for the 850.9 km stretch of BR-163 between Itiquira (MT) and Sinop (MT). The company assumed operation of the BR-163/364 concession in Mato Grosso. It maintains and conserves the highway and provides user assistance, including medical aid, mechanical support, and towing (heavy and light).
